Can I take tylex if I have a bad lung infection. I need something strong for rib and stomach pain from coughing and ibuprofen or paracetamol won't work thanks .

You need to read the information leaflet. You can find it online if you've lost it. There are some contra-indications, but only you know if these fit you. If you take it for more than 2 or 3 days, you will need either a high fibre diet or lactulose, as the main side effect is constipation.
