Hi don't know if you know about breathe easy groups run once a month through the lung foundation. They are sociable informative and great fun. Worth looking into. I have been to my local one and it was a large, friendly group. My group also meet up socially outside the group and do holidays.

Breathe easy groups
Mine didn't. I found mine really clique and unfriendly though there were a few nice people there. It seemed to be run by this busybody who was a snotty cow and one of the members was so out of breath she used a wheelchair (emphysema as well) but found the breath to talk and moan and complain for England! Yuck. x
Gosh I am so amazed at how lucky I am that my group were so nice.
Yes it's great when they are like yours. I was hoping mine would be too but unfortunately not. I did go several times but got so fed up of it I stopped. x
I don't have one that I can attend, but I started xolair (?) and confined for the four hour period I had someone who whine for Europe, and at the finish she went to the smoking shelter. I took great delight in ratting on her to the nurse, who invited her back to the ward.
Asked if I could join our local group and told no as I have asthma and it was for c.o.p.d only .
My local is fully of 65+ COPD-ers. All the activities seemed to be aimed at average 70 yo with moderate COPD so as a 25 yo severe asthmatic I had very little in common with them and the majority seemed to be there to moan and complain about everything so I only went once. Stumbled across another severe asthmatic on my last trip to hospital so meet up with him instead. Glad yours seems to cater for all tho
