Chest infections usually make asthma worse, and I don't think there is any evidence that extra vitamins of any sort help. You will find lots of posts on this site where people have one infection after another with lots of medication. The only thing that works, it seems to me, is to take excellent care of yourself, or preferably, get someone else to take excellent care of you, and sit it out. The bugs do go eventually, but how long it takes varies from one person to another. You should have a consultant as the combination of asthma and bronchitis can be very dangerous. If not, get one, and discuss ways forward with her/him.
