Snoring

This is a bit embarrassing. But my husband has noticed since my asthma has been really bad I've started snoring very loudly. I don't have tonsils so it can't be that, but he said sometimes it sounds like I stop breathing and it doesn't matter if I'm on my side or on my back. Has anyone else found this?

Yeah my husband is currently telling everyone and telling everyone I need to go see someone about it! I could have killed him while we were out for dinner last night! Do you know why we might be snoring more?

These men are all the same aren't they! No sorry I am not sure why it happens unfortunately! It's annoying though as I hate keeping my husband awake at night and I don't want to sleep separately either!xx

Yeah they really are. Well I will keep researching and if I come across anything I will let you know. No I don't want too either and I'm by sleeping well as I'm so many steroids. X

Thank you Lucy-j-16 . Is your asthma bad? Are you on a lot of medication? Good luck with finding a solutionxx

Could also be obstructive sleep apnea. Are you waking struggling to catch your breath? The only way to diagnose it is to have an SPO2 survey carried out during a nights sleep. Worth discussing with your GP

I'm a snorer and so is my son who has asthma (hence why on on this forum) and I make sure he has a minimum of pillow so that his airway is clearer and his chin is not on his chest but back as much as poss like giving cpr.

As for me the doctor said it's a symptom of being overweight (cheek) I know he right tho!! My husband tells everyone about my snoring and has a habit of filming me sleeping to show me how loud I can be.
