I’ve been struggling with oral thrush for a few weeks now but my nystatin seems to be working well( gums less sore, throat less yellow) I’ve noticed now that the gunk has cleared a little, that my right tonsil looks swollen, has white spots on it and I’ve some discomfort on that side. Also the sensation that something is “catching” when I swallow which has just started. Has anyone else experienced this? I also have an intermittent headache , chills at night but no fever and I’ve been feeling not quite 100 per cent for a few days (slight fatigue and a little wheezy). I’m suspecting tonsillitis at the moment.
I’m due to have a chat over the phone with my new GP this week so I will mention this but I wondered if anyone else has had this experience. Thank you JC

I've had this recently, although no swollen tonsil. Have had a sore throat though and bad oral thrush. Took fluconazole tablet in the end and it's gone. Think my sore throat, occasional tight chest, tiredness and headache might be hayfever? So I've started antihistamines now. Never ends eh!
Sounds a bit like tonsillitis now with the white spots - I suggest you speak to your GP. I had a bad dose of oral thrush thought I had chicken pox in my mouth - I gargled with salt water every half hour Take care x Anita
