Would love to go out walking this weekend but the main suspect for my asthma attack two weeks ago was tree spores. I love autumn any suggestion please.

If it's an allergy to tree spores, could/do you not use an antihistamine?

Don't believe montelukast is an actual antihistamine. Could maybe ask a pharmacist for advice?

No monlelaust isnt an anti histamine but blocks the body response to allergn like pollen worked great for the hayfever season. Now its autumn I have met a new trigger ie. Tree spores that hasnt affected me before.

Spores are a big trigger for me so I do walk but avoid disturbing/ kicking leaves be take antihistamines for 24 hrs before if a planned trip

Looks like the walk could be off. Another asthma attack this pm. Went to my pilates class today and felt like I could go to sleep on in class. Walked home went to bed for a nap. Woke up started coughing reached for my ventolin and had good eight puffs. Took some prenisolone rang doctors at 5pm. Spoke to duty doctor who advise to change back to seretide. Ask why I stopped taking it said I was given it for the winter jan-mar (reminded how expense these are £80-90) an inhaler. Still have 13 days left of this one. The doctor said it was probably that i dont need seretide in summer may-september but need it when weather changes. Ask what set it off the walk 20mins both ways or the fact I swap around my bedroom. Bed, draws and all. Over did it? Iroginally made appointment with asthma nurse before asthma attavk 2 and now 3. Know that seretide works for me. So in a couple of days i hope and pray to be fine. Extra ventolin on board if necessary 4 hourly. Nuts was looking forward to romantic walk with hubbie. Good news no more prenisolone.

Autumnal walk turned into a costal be walk by the sea at a place called sandy bay near Weston super mare. Walk around the point windy so no chance of spores as no trees. Walk on the beach an lovely cup of tea and scone and butter in a lovely tea shop. Happy wife and happy husband walkedn over 7000 steps. Got home had a nap as steriod had disturbed sleep pattern, . Chest improves all the time with my old inhaler Seretide. Roll on Sunday and seeing my church family all Next week Wednesday appointment with asthma nurse.
