So been feeling fine for a week or so but after the terrible weather over Easter I'm suffering coughing, breathless, coughing up green gunk I phoned my gp, no app ( no surprise there) but offered me an app with a nurse practitioner great I thought big mistake.... Told her my symptoms and I used inhalers she asked what for food or asthma erm arnt you supposed to know that from reading my notes ,, then told me to take pirition and if things get worse to call emergency services.... Went to walkin and now on antibiotics for a chest infection

That's disgusting! She obviously knows nothing about asthma - can't you put in a complaint. Glad you got some antibiotics now and hope you feel better soon xx
That's pretty poor. Should have at least listened to your chest! Feel better soon. x
Sometimes you just,,,,,,,
But pleased your now on medication ,,,,if I get GREEN/BROWN gunk my first thought is chest infection so I send in a sputum sample first ,
Hope you soon feel well again ,
Not impressed, but sadly not surprised. The one time I ended up seeing a nurse practitioner (having been told I would be seeing a doctor - but this was out of hours service eight years ago) I left with nothing. When I got to see my GP (2/3 days later) I was, as she later told me, very very unwell and I ended up on oral steroids, a hefty dose of antibiotics, and lanzaprozole to counter the effects of the oral steroids on a stomach that had a history of being temperamental.
I agree with Karjade - make a complaint. Nothing will be done to ensure this doesn't happen again if you don't.
Sorry not food copd
