Crikey. Never heard of those but it doesn't sound pleasant! I wonder if they'll remove them?
Don't think so..biopsy maybe..check they don't grow..not fun Georgie..i phoned the helpline, spoke to the nurse who gave me the British lung helpline..nobody wants to say just go to your specialist appointment..π
How long until your appointment?
My consultant is on holiday apparently I'll get a call..nerve-racking
I haven't heard of the cysts but I wanted to say hope you get well soon.
Thank you Shezxx really nice of you
Hi there,
I don't know what to say;0() On the positive side it's good to know what is causing you trouble and then you can start to tackle it directly? Questions like "I wonder why they are there"? and "how long have they been there"? must be in your head? The last time I had a crisis my consultant was also on holiday and no one else would make a decision! I know that some people have tried nebulizing with colloidal silver which you could google. Other than that just fingers crossed that they can offer you some positive news when your consultant returns. I hope it goes well for you;0)
Gino
Thanks Gino. :))))π
Im in my 2wk of new treatment, the new antibiotics and the new nebs. Pity they told me to taper down the Pred because I breathe better with the Pred..I may go back to the GP and up the Pred again, it can only dry things out anyway.
no Im not going to go crazy it's some kind of cystic sthg obviously and there are so many diseases listed in that section no point in beating myself upπ
After the initial shock I said to myself I've never had a CT scan so who knows I may always have had them?? Chicken or the egg like??
The fact is in the last 2 years my asthma has been harder to control with more chest infections, and the number of meds I'm on is getting ridiculous..once a specialist told me if the side effects outweigh the benefits well think again. It was the case of the montelukast for example so dropped thatπ
So if it is not lethal, all I am after is to be as comfortable as possible so to continue to live my life.
Yes they always seem to be on holiday or a conference somewhere when you most need advice.
So all in all I've got another week's worth of the new treatment, the nebs are the most helpful part. I am going to stick to the plan and talk to the physiotherapist next time I am due to go he must have come across similar cases and in any case he is most helpful I am learning new exercises to clear my chest which come handy.
I will ask for a GP appointment and take it from there, one day at a time as always...
Thanks for your support :))
I've never heard of these either - had to look them up to find out what they were.
Here's hoping they don't keep you waiting too long. There's nothing worse than waiting for an appointment to discuss results. I've been there in the past. 'Nerve wracking' describes it perfectly.
Fingers crossed for you.x
Thank you Maggie:)))
Thank you Asthma friends you have been most supportive, and if there is anyone out there with a similar condition I would be glad to understand a little more..
Nighty night for those who managed to sleep tonight and talk to you tomorrow.π
This waiting game is upsetting. Know exactly how you feel. Good Luck with your specialist appointment when you get it.

Thank you very much freefaller..got more info though through the GP, it's some kind of rare disease my luck and they're going to start investigating blood, biopsy.. Lots of fun to come!! The appointment can take up to 3 months so I may move back home to speed things up honestly.
Have a nice day!!
Anything is worth doing so speed things up. Take it easy.

Thanks Sian and thanks for that European Health Card EHIC I had ordered on the internet! I hope that will cover hospital expenses. No Brexit for me :)))
Thank you Emilia I'll talk to you later busy taking care Mum
Hi Emilia you can call me Fran π
Thank you for your concern. You are very kind.
Tomorrow the consultant is back from holiday so hopefully she'll look at the CT scan at the earliest and give me an early
appointment and I learn a little more!!
The GP says it's a rare condition but rare doesn't mean especially grim. They have to give me further tests, blood tests, biopsy..so all fun π
I will be alright when I know what condition I have and if it needs treatment, how..for now I am all over the place, the stress affects my asthma of course.
But I have a supportive family and friends and that helps. They are not used to see me sick ππ I usually get on with things but lately I am all out of sorts.
Now you know π They say patience is a virtue well not one of mineππ
Thank you for reading it all helps :))
Bye for now Emilia. We keep in touch x
Thanks xxx
Hi Emilia thank you for your kindness :))
I wouldn't call it bravoury just an instinct for survival!! I go up and down like any asthma patient I believe..and I am still a little puzzled by what I am facing now..Puzzled is good, puzzled doesn't give you grief..
So one day at a time..I try to do something nice for myself every day..My daughter sent me some goodies from Paris where she went for the wkend so that was a treat, Im trying the dream merchant herbal tea right now haha..
Then the physio taught me this new relaxing therapy the day before yesterday well it was new to me.
I was lying on the bed and I had to make a fist and relax my hands, then I had to push my
hands palm flat into the bed and relax, then my heels, my calves, my thighs, bum, back, back of the neck and head..and I felt lighter and was breathing better, closed my eyes for a while and forgot all about the rest..
A good and easy technique to release tension I thought..
Bye for now and thanks again xxx
