Pleurisy?

Hi there, has anyone else had pleurisy? It seems that's why I'm im so much pain. I had it really badly about 12 years ago so I'm pretty terrified at what's ahead of me but I'm hoping I've caught it a little earlier. Anyone know what treatment works for it? I'm on antibiotics but don't seem to be working. Think I need pred?

I had pleurisy this time last year along with pneumonia and was given antibiotics for the pleurisy at first it doesn't seem to do anything but it will work by the end of the course of treatment. Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Gareth! It's that time of year isn't it yuck. They seemed to work first couple of days then the pain came back with a vengeance! Will persevere though thanks for the advice.

Heya, I've just recently had pleurisy was horrible! I had antibiotics for a week but then had oral steroids for 3 weeks. Best thing to do is rest! It took me 5 weeks to get better. Hope you start feeling better soon!
