Welcome to our new forum! This is a work in progress, so it may be a little rough around the edges – but please bear with us while we work on updating the design and making usability improvements over the next few months. For now, though, you should find that your forum posts have been carried over (with the most recent ones copied over by us), along with your usernames and post history.
We hope you can continue to use the forum as normal during this interim period, but if anything is causing a problem, please let us know - we'd love to hear your feedback and you can get in touch with us at webeditor@asthma.org.uk. We know that the previous forum had a great sense of community and we hope that this new forum can be as useful and fun as the last!
We'd also like to say a big thank you to our brilliant moderators Peaksteve, cathbear and tj for all their hard work over the years.
I really like the new look of the Asthma UK Forums.
Love the new.look xxx

I find this site very good xxx
I am liking the look of the new site x
If anyone is having any problems finding their way around the new boards (or has found a new feature and wants to know what it does or how to use it), feel free to post your questions here - or PM me if you prefer.
I love the new-look forum, although I am a bit slow finding everything lol.
OOO, it's gonna need exploring when I get chance, but looks good for a quick nosey. The best bit has to be ALL of the replies are shown below so you don't have to mess around when replying.

Yes, that makes a big difference. As does the fact that you can now quote posts, like I have here!
Slightly confusing at first but some nice new features. Shiny!
Though the PM alert seems to be on overdrive - I just got a PM - 1 PM - and it sent me about 6 messages about it! Plus it tells you it's from someone's email address rather than their username like it used to. I don't know how bothered people are about this but struck me that you might want to PM someone on here without letting them have your email address (I'm not at all worried in this instance but I can see there might be times someone would want to keep something off the open forum without revealing too much to whoever they're PMing.)
just thought i'd say hello, haven't had a proper chance to look round yet but initial impressions are good
When you click on a thread that is an old one that has been going a long time, eg was created 3 years ago, you go straight back to the beginning..... three years ago. I have discovered by trial and error that you click on one of the tiny squares on the right to take you to the most up to date message..... it is a tiny square.... can we have a bigger square please..
You can then see the latest post but you can't see the original post....... there is no quick way to see the original post and the latest post...
I liked the layout of the older forum.... looked nicer... this looks clunky.

I understand it is more dynamic....
Ignore the look of the forum for the time being; this is the default ""skin"", and it hasn't been tweaked to match the look of the rest of the site yet.
As for your other comment, this forum now works in exactly the same way as every other forum I've encountered! The old AUK style of having the original post always on display was rather odd, and only really useful if every reply was in response to the original post - any thread that has gotten onto a second page is unlikely to still be that heavily related to the original post. Yes, we can certainly look at making the ""go to most recent post"" button bigger (it's a pain to click on at the moment) but there's no way to go back to the old order of displayed posts - sorry!
