What's normal for the morning dip? like, how much should it drop?
I think mines a lot more than it should be.
*I'm sorry if this is the wrong place - I wasn't sure if it'd be best suited here on in medical.*

Anyone?
I'm trying to make a list of things to bring up in my next appointment with consultant but I'm not wanting to mention it if its normal :s
hi, i don't know what's normal but i have dips which can be up to 150 less than what i blow in the evening but my asthma is poorly controlled x
Thank you - mine usually drops 200/250 depending on whether I'm gonnA have a good/bad day with it. It seems the more I wake up, the more my lungs wake up and my peak flow picks itself up after a few hours.
It's worth bringing it up whether you think
It's normal or not - gives you a chance to clarify what is normal with your GP, and lets them see the patterns of your PF.
From what I understand, it's the percentage peak and dip that is important, not the raw numbers so much.
So, my dip (when I'm having a bad chest) has been anything from 240 lower than my personal best. If my PB was 800, that wouldn't be nevessarily such an issue. If my PB were 350, this would be a serious concern!
So it's done by percentage - a difference of over 20% between PB and dip is generally indicative of asthma. But whatever your dip, do show your chart to your GP.
I'll bring it up. it can be up to 50% drop, its starting to become problematic cause I'm waking up, coughing and throwing up from it. :[
