Casualty again!

Treated an asthma attack in a kiddie with high flow O2 not a neb in sight. There are times when I wonder who does their medical advice.

Also slightly perturbed that the paramedics concern that kiddie A could lose foot whilst kiddie B's asthma warranted diddly squat in the way of attention apart from some high flow O2, they could at least have put a comment ""yes bring wheezy kiddie too, put wheezy kid into ambulance with a neb and then then help me with kiddie with bad foot"". Sorry and sick and fed up of explaining that asthma kills, is it any wonder people think it not worth worrying about when their main source of info ignores it!

I noticed she had a neb on when they brought her into the causaulty department! One minute she was not responding to treatment the next shes walking about! makes me mad! think they should sack there medical advisors!

I wrote to Casualty once offering to be their medical advisor, since the one they have is obviously lacking - a reply was not forthcoming.

Seriously, I am sure it's not actually the fault of the doctor who works for them (and they do have one). I am sure time and budget constraints and the dramatic demands of the plot are responsible for most of the errors. After all, if you are paying actors and actresses, camera, sound et al to do a scene you are not going to shoot it all over again just because the doctor in the corner says the X ray was the wrong way around.

Besides, if there weren't medical errors aplenty, I'd have nothing to nit-pick when my mum makes me watch it.

My favourite medical show is House, which I *love* - they don't get it right all the time, but I'll forgive them that because it's just so damn good!

I love House too! Plus been able to watch a few episodes in full colour and not fuzzy colour on Chanel five with a decent aerial!

One of my early gripes was when they used a scoop stretcher the wrong way round - good job it was a short person!

There are the occasional continuity mistakes too if you watch very closely.
