I am going through a rough patch over the past three weeks with my asthma and am on my second coure of pred in two weeks and have been using my nebuliser, atrovent and ventolin pretty much every day sometimes several times a day and using a mask and now I am getting nosebleeds, could this be related?

I think it would be unlikely but not being medically qualified best you mention it to your GP. Hope your well soon.

Its probably the atrovent as it can iritate eyes. It dries things out so may have iritated your nasal passage. Have you got a mouthpiece to use instead?

Take care

I don't know the answer to this, Wanda, but nose bleeds isn't something I generally suffer with and I use my neb at least 4 times a day, as you know. Very weirdly though, I woke up in the middle of the night last night having a nose bleed. It was all very random and I have no idea what caused it. I think I might remember if someone had punched me in nose ... especially as I live on my own ...

i get nosebleeds quite a lot and was told it is the atrovent nebs.

i get the same and thought that i was just wierd sorta makes sense to be atrovent related as it really dries my eyes out n gives me dry mouth and cracked lips wen on the humidified o2 system in the hospital as it current plan nose is dryin out so can relate!

Ur not alone and im not too wierd whoop whoop for this forum! Hows everyone doin? Xxx
