Hi plumie,

I like your name for it, its perfect!!!

I too am currently on sofa surfing duty (part of the reason I seem to be on the forums constantly) and it drives me mad with boredom.

My husband thinks I'm insane as he loves lazing about and thinks I should enjoy it, as I tell him its different to laze out of choice than because moving makes you breathless qnd wheezy (dizzy, lung pain, tired.....need I go on).

Yes, I love having a sofa day every now and then out of choice, but being confined to the sofa all day every day because it takes so much effort to get up and do anything is completely different. Hope you're all up and about again soon!

Brillant terms both sofa surfing and couch arrest

hi angelica; it drives me mad with boredom too. I sit watching everyone else and wishing i could be like them. It is hard emotionally and only people experiencing it understand you. Hense why i started a thread so the people who are sofa surfing can chat in an understanding place. Today i have got to try and do some of my physio exercises to try and keep muscle tone up and i have some laundry that i need to attempt to get on the washing line - by pacing - a few items then sofa surf then a few more items then sofa surf etc. Life can be changing when airways are grumpy.

Thank you for responding to my post

Plumie

Morning plumie! :-)

I totally understand what you mean, I just think about the fact that its not permanent and soon I'll start having more good days again.

I like your planning, mine involves cleaning my downstairs bathroom today (took me 2 days to clean the upstairs one due to sofa pit stops).

Mad how the simplest task has to be planned like a military operation!! Lol

Hope you manage to get everything done between surfs :-)

Hi, I am confined to the sofa for another 4 weeks (have done 3 already) following a foot operation. Thank goodness the bathroom is downstairs or I would be living in the bedroom. Asthma is well controlled at the moment but I am not exerting myself in any way apart from going up the stairs when essential. Hoping that everyone else currently under couch arrest gets up and about soon. K x
