type of asthmatic?

hi just recently told asthmatic but seen a lot of posts where people say they are a certain type of asthmatic. I was told allergic to dust, and still going to consultant for follow up reviews, on seretide 250 twice a day and ventolin for reliever, find my main problem is coughing continuously, however since on seretide this has settled but i still wake around 5am tightness and coughing, what asthma am i, who tells u this and what various types are they? thanks for any information x

hi pam. ur hospital consultant will tell your the type of asthma your have, this is done after some tests and few clinical reviews ,so that they have a clearer picture of how your asthma responds to treatment and the triggers that cause your asthma to flare up...... try and not worry about labels. as when the chips are down we all have asthma .....
