I am now having to keep a peak flow diary to take to my asthma review with the doctor in a few weeks time. I would like an asthma tracker for my blackberry but do not know which ones are good ones for the blackberry and for my apple mac? Please could some some let me know where I can download a good one from and how much for?
I would really like an asthma tracker for my mac and my blackberry! As I am not keen on the paper ones.

I've tried a couple for Mac - AsthmaMD is free, okish but doesn't produce a proper chart (if your symptoms and PF are in different zones it will produce an 'average' PF for the zone and chart that instead though will record your actual one on the diary.) Tbh it rather confused my consultant so I wouldn't recommend it!
I'm using AsthmaTrack atm which is about £1-2 and a bit better - like AsthmaMD you can customise your zones etc but it does have this annoying thing where you have to put in 'none...light...medium etc for symptoms - I'd rather have a number rating or something as often I don't feel like this allows enough discrimination - I'd never put 'severe' unless I was having a full-on attack but this leaves me with only light and medium; I don't think this is really enough for a proper description. Plus you can't add triggers and it doesn't have all of mine.
But otherwise is ok. It does have a proper chart that records your actual PF readings rather than weird estimates. Also has sections where you can write what you like so can say more about symptoms, triggers etc.
I've not yet found one I'm really happy with! I wonder if any of the app developers for the existing ones asked asthmatics what they wanted? AsthmaMD was developed in collaboration with a doctor but it does have more of the doctor's POV than someone who actually has the symptoms and is trying to describe them clearly.
I use Asthma Pulse for my Apple I Phone and I have found it to be very good, it lets me record my Peakflow, Symptoms, Triggers, Medicines and Comments

I've also been looking for a good app for the Blackberry and have just got Asthma Tracker from the Blackberry App Store - mainly because most of the other asthma related apps consisted of turoirals and helpful information but didn't seem to let you track your peak flow. I haven't used it yet so I can't tell you anything more about it. I'll give it a couple of weeks and then try to remember to tell you how I've got on with it.
