This question has probably been asked before. I used to take Singular but was taken off it over 7 years ago. It has recently been restarted within the last week. I am needing your wisdom as to the side effects. Do I need to stop them with going to the loo lots ( to be polite), or it could be a coincidence .
Does the leaflet say anything about that? Always thought the main side effects were funny dreams and behaviour (in children). I've been on it for about 6 months now, half of that on a double dose and can't say it's affected my stomach so maybe just coincidence? So wait a bit longer and see what happens - hope
According to the most recent Patient Information Leaflet for Singulaire (the trade name for montelukast), needing the loo more frequently is *not* one of the listed side effects.
If you're concerned, speak to your GP. Even if it was one of the listed side effects, you still shouldn't stop taking any medication without discussing it with a healthcare professional.
Thank you.
Seeing GP next week, symptoms settling now, must be a coincidence
