Laugh! Cough! Play a wood wind instrument such as recorder as easy to learn.

Hi Glynis,

You could try putting some Friar's Balsam into a bowl of hot water (not boiling) & sit with your head over it with a towel completely covering you & the bowel (to help the steam stay in) for about 20-30 mins. Only put about 5ml of the balsam in.

You can get it from chemists (may need to ask). I usually try to do it twice a day. It's one of the only things that helps me.

Good luck, hope you feel better soon,

exercise, or plumies suggestion, anything to get the lungs moving more than normal, help shift the muck. Last winter I kept going for bike rides when I had chest infections, and cough all the time, did me good i know. Just wrapped up warm and kept it gentle, so why not go swimming or the gym, i know you like both, but keep it easy.

Hi.

I find inhaling vapours (Vicks or equivalent) helps.

Also playing clarinet.

Also (bizarrely!) jumping on our trampoline (put in garden for grankids to use!).

Hope this helps.

Best wishes to all.
