Chest pain & tightness

Last night and tonight I've been feeling very chesty and tight. I've been taking my blue inhaler but it only relieves me for about 20mins max. Any other ideas to help? Worried I'm using my blue inhaler too much.

Hi, a reliever is 2 puffs every 3_4 hours but if 2 puffs dont help take 2 more and more. If your really strugling get help. 10 puffs through a spacer is equal to a neb. Have a look at the info on the site it is worth reading. It really helped me. The chest feeling tight and heavy are asthma symptoms. You sometimes get muscle pains around chest and ribs or back with coughing etc but always get checked up. A meds review with your doctor would be a good thing .Love Glynis xxx

i agree with glynis, take your inhaler via spacer, to ensure your getting full effect of your inhaler.

also, try breathing in through mouth, out through nose, i find that helps when i have nellie on my chest!!

but defo get ur meds reviewed by ur GP
