shakes from inhaler
No idea why but I get shakey if I take too much salb
Shakes"" come about because of the group of asthma medications referred to as the ""Beta-2 agonists"". These medications act on the beta-2 adreno-receptors - mainly in the lungs - to widen the airways. They are adrenaline-like compounds (but much weaker). Sometimes you absorb small amounts of inhaled medications like this and they act on beta-2 receptors elsewhere in the body to produce, for example, shakes and palpitations.
Common beta-2 agonist medications are: salbutamol (Ventolin, Salamol), terbutaline (Bricanyl), salmetarol (Serevent), formoterol (Oxis).
Hope this helps.

i've always woundered that thanks cath, i get so shakey, one puff sets me off is that norm? does it effect people differently?
clox
Yes Chloe different people experience different effects. Sometimes it seems that you can experience different effects at different times too - I don't know about you but sometimes I can feel really shakey after taking an inhaler, but at other times it doesn't seem to have that effect.
i've just come back from a week pretending to snowboard in meribel - had the shakes massively the whole time due i expect to taking ventolin every hour - was good tho as it meant everyone had to carry food and drink etc for me as otherwise i'd spill it, plus i had a good excuse to keep sitting down and admiring the view!
I get shakes from mine lol
