Atrovent

I have been advised by a Paramedic this evening that I should be taking my Atrovent inhaler through the volmatic spacer and not the Aerochamber Plus spacer device.

I am not doubting what the Paramedic told me but I was just wondering what everyone else does.

Does the Atrovent inhaler work any better if I use the volmatic spacer

If I'm at work I use my aerochamber cos that's what I keep in my work drawer.....if I'm at home I use my volumatic :)

Doesn't seem to make much difference to me other than it's definitely more effective through some sort of spacer device than without!

Thanks for that Fee, I was concerned because I was unsure if I was doing the wrong thing

just backing what fee says

doesn't matter how you take the atrovent, as with salbutamol i suppose ini, via aerochamber or volumatic - as an example, children <6 use the volumatics or aerochamber plus or yellow aerochambers with masks, they are all as effective.
