Sorry,to too late.I think all who have replied to my post, are not getting clearly with my short explaination.First of all,I never advise to stop conventional therapy, which you are taking.I do advise that in that cases, who are getting frequent attacks of dry coughing, breathlessness and so many other complications ,and so taking increased doses of medicines and inhalers, they should try homeopathy medicines.Automatically you will feel your improve resistance power against allergens.

My intention is only to share my experinces so that if only one patient of asthma if can get recovery from his/her suffering.I AM GUIDING NOT MISGUIDING.

But though as a qulified and experienced doctor I would strongly suggest to consult, along with your current therapy,a homeopath consultant, especially for children because in paediatric cases reults are sure and within no time they feels good.

Hmmm. thanks for your post in an attempt at clarification. Still not happy with what you are saying. Results are NOT guaranteed with children and homeopathy and I think the advice you give is misleading.

Maybe something is getting lost in translation but please stop saying that there are guaranteed results. Homeopathy can help SOME people...not all.

Nice to see you seeking to clarify the misunderstanding in earlier post. But as stated before, facts are needed before you can make Claims about the success of homeopathic treatments ... Many people may try it but not always guarenteed a positive results ESP in children...

I think the problem with these complimentary therapies is most people assume that they'll cure them or they should stop taking their preventers. Buteyko gets similar critism, but it doesn't tell you to stop all your meds, just says you can after a time stop needing your relievers, no mention of the preventers, and maybe this is what homeopathy can also do. The choice of words is often the catalist here, and people use 'Alternative' when in reality 'Complimentary' is the correct term. We do need to keep an open mind here as asthma is on the rise, why? Modern medicines do a great job but they do come with side effects are I've found with myself, the more I take the more I need. I've tried a few complimentary options over the years and some have had limited success. They may work for others but not all, so we need to keep that in mind all the time.

HI Pandya.

Thanks for the info, its a choice for everyone who wants to try it along side

their meds off doc etc x

Pandya - thanks for an attempt at clarification; however, you still twice claim as fact that homeopathic remedies *will* work, when there is no proof of this. The moderating team here has a responsibility to point out that Asthma UK undertakes a great deal of research into treatments, and has no evidence of homeopathic remedies being guaranteed any results at all.

while on the topic of herbs etc, this croped up today and may offer some comfort, Like the article says it won't cure but could help your asthma.

Agree what has already been said so won't add much. Homeopathy may perhaps have a placebo effect hence where I've seen limited NHS homeopathic hospital clinics.

Woody-som, in regards to herbs will read links later. I was recommended camomile tea inhalations by ENT consultant for post surgery inflammation.

I'm reminded of the wonderful Dara O'Briain quote:

""Herbal medicine has been around for thousands of years. But then we tested it all, and the stuff that worked became 'medicine'.""

Seriously, it's good that no aspect of medicine is being ignored when researching treatments. Anything that can provide a proven help to asthma sufferers has to be applauded.

However, an article that starts by suggesting that increases in childhood asthma may be linked to vaccination schedules is, in my opinion, very dangerous indeed. The last thing we need is for parents to be afraid to get their children vaccinated against some very nasty conditions because there is a theoretical (but, it seems, unproven) risk of developing asthma. I also take huge exception to the part of the article that suggests that ""regular"" asthma treatment can lead to premature death - so is it suggesting that not getting your asthma treated is somehow *better* for you?! Sorry to say, I stopped reading after that paragraph. Any article with such an obvious agenda towards any particular type of treatment - be it pharmaceutical or ""natural"" - is always going to be heavily skewed in its findings.

(NB: this post is *not* posted as a moderator - these are my personal opinions on the matter)
