Aero Chamber Plus. Different asthma nurse last week told me it's 6 breaths to empty the chamber after one skoosh, usual asthma nurse says only 2.
Any thoughts, anyone?

Ah, Woody! Those instructions are excellent, I didn't realise part of the aerochamber could be removed for cleaning it. I've just been filling mine with warm water, sealing the end off with the palms of my hands and shaking the water hard to clean it.
Just to note that spacer washing advice differs on page 50 of the British Guideline on the Management of Asthma (May 2008, revised June 2009)!!

""Spacers should be cleaned monthly rather than weekly as per manufacturer's recommendations or performance is adversely affected. They should be washed in detergent and allowed to dry in air. The mouthpiece should be wiped clean of detergent before use.""
So wash in detergent solution (e.g. washing-up liquid and warm water), *don't rinse* as the detergent leaves an anti-static coating inside the spacer, and allow to air dry.
I have always been told my son should take 3/4 breathes on his areo chamber plus. To wash it once a month in hot soapy water I take the yellow section that has the face-mask on off and leave it to soak for 10 minutes then wash it out with a bottle brush and leave to air dry with out rinsing the detergent out of it.
Don't use a brush as this scrapes the inside. Creating grooves for the drug to collect in. Reducing the effectiveness of the chamber
