CT Scan Results

Hello just got results of my CT scan of my thorax - apparantly I have something called atelectasis in middle lobe and lingula. Just wondered if anyone else has had this and what they do if anything. My consultant is on leave and the receptionist didn't know what it meant but is going to fax it through to the difficult asthma clinic. Am fed up of wheezing at the slightest movement but cough is a lot better. Hope everyone else doing okay, thanks, Lois

Hey lois ive had cts show pathches of atelectasis.

I got told thats it plugs of mucus in the lower airways from previous chest infections.

There are different types of atelectasis but small patches shouldnt cause much of a problem.
