After a week or so of feeling ok,my cough has been very irritable this morning, even my dose of Clenil and 3 blasts of Ventolin didnt stop me throwing up and although I feel better now,my throat still feels like it has been dragged through a phlegm sewer-and work to look forward to this affy !!
Charming description. Do you need to be thinking of antibiotics and seeing your GP, as a rule of thumb if my lung gunk ""tastes/smells bad"" when coughing it up or not coughing it up (highly frustrating) then I have an infection better to hit those bugs sooner rather than later.

I had a ""dose"" of antibiotics last month Bex,I think this is just a damp morning reaction and I am feeling better than I did an hour or so ago so ,""touch wood
Bex - your post has just told me i did the correct thing of ringing me resp nurse this morning, just waiting for her to phone back. I was going to ask her how you know when you hvae an infection apart form feeling ill, but the stuff i coughing up is how you described it. I shall be asking her if i can start the antibiotics i have in once she returns my call. (Gp wont do owt, he told me to talk to resp nurse)
Thank you bex, your so helpful and so experienced!
Yes it is possible to have an infection and not feel ill, high dose steriods mask things like running a fever which is why if you spike a temp there is a good or should that be bad reason. If I am snarky (what a great word) and or tearful espeically with my team at the RBH normally by the following day I have clear infection signs I can honestly say the only times I have been a right royal pain in the arse the day after I have been pretty sick. There are markers in your blood however mind tend to poddle along being a bit higher than the norm for a day or two in a sort of we need to keep an eye on this type way before absolutly sky rocketing but my that time I have a temp and am clearly sick.
Good luck and hit if fast and hit it hard is my new motto when it comes to infections.
Bex
ps thank you for the nice words, honestly I am not all sweetness and light!
