Nonsense, Angelica, you are not to blame and absolutely MUSTN'T feel guilty. It's a clear case of one-upmanship. You've got asthma so he has to have DOUBLE pneumonia and now you can squabble about who gets looked after.
Sorry - I shouldn't joke it must be very very unpleasant for him. Give him the other end of the sofa and let him have the remote for a while.

This can work for your benefit. .... Give him loads of sympathy and a bit of pampering and tlc ... When he feels better wee reminders of how he felt and compare it wie your asthma ...
