My hip was resurfaced back in 2010 and in the past three to four months, I feel as if I am sitting on a marble. This is on the outer edge of my hip joint, as I'm sitting. My consultant is arranging an MRI scan and thinks it's linked to my back. I doubt this, as the feeling is very specific. The discomfort is often affecting the lower leg and ankle area now. Any knowledge of this please?

Hip problems tend to cause groin pain, although it could be your hip anyway. It will be interesting to see what they find out.
Thank you. I agree, as both hips have been operated on and I remember the awful ground pain. This has me curious and slightly anxious. I may need that hip redoing!
Thank you. Take good care too
