PRP injections/treatment

Hi, I saw someone asking if anyone knew anyone who had undergone this treatment and yes my relative has and no it did not work for her knee problems. Also an eminent Orthopaedic Surgeon told me it just does not work. However, MBST did seem to sort out my other relative's fractured foot and we are going back to sort out his arthritic shoulder, wrist and knee pain in 2023. It is private but not that expensive. Invented by two German scientists originally to help relieve pain for those suffering with osteoarthritis but seems to help with other problems also.

I believe MBST (MRT magnetic resonsant therapy) is the future regarding problems which usually go forward eventually for surgery.

Thanks for reading.

I tried PRP three years ago and I was amazed it worked for me, as normally nothing works! It seems that the NHS are now starting to use PRP for knees. Kent has been one of the fore runners in trying it out. They reckon it helps around 80%. I suppose people have warn magnetic bracelets for arthritis for a long time, so something like MBST could also work well for cartilage before surgery is needed.

MBST is NOT magnetic bracelets.

It is a medical device that creates a magnetic resonance field, just like when you get an MRI scan, only with much lower intensity (it is used for therapeutical purpose, not imaging)

I just meant that magnetism could have an effect. I was not trying to say that they were the same thing at all.

Yes, I understand, just wanted to clarify if any others are reading that it is different and done on medical devices.

I have done this therapy several times, and it was helpful.

I cannot believe that people will muddle up a magnetic bracelet with something that can sort out a fractured foot on the other hand!!

If it’s worked before for you it should work again. For me, I never benefited from that particular treatment. In general, my experience has been that what worked really well in non-weight-bearing joints was only about half as effective in weight-bearing joints. The steroid shots for example worked very well in my shoulders providing good relief for the full 4/6 months. In the knees only about 2 months of relief. Best wishes for a successful treatment!
