I am in my mid nineties, a year ago I had a TAVI to replace a faulty aortic heart valve. This seems to be effective. Recently I have given up my gym exercises because of the danger of picking up the coronavirus. I get some exercise at home with a static bike. This helps but I observe that my heart beats are less than 60pm.
Not only that but the pulse is erratic and misses beats, if I am sitting up I get dizzy spasms which coincide with the missed beat. I haved a blood thinner twice a day because of the possibility of blood clots causing a stroke, the dizziness causes occassional side effects like double vision and disorientation. It doesnt occur when lying down or during exercise when my heart rate increases.
Is their any way of stabilising the heart rate at an adequate resting rate?
