Hi my names Cat I'm 32 I'm a member of endo uk and fertility network.

Iv come to seek help from you lovely people, because iv for the past few years been getting pains in my hands where they lock go stiff and my grip feels weak. Get tingles, pins and needles and they've started to recently swell up. My hips ache real bad and the back pelvis bone (sorry don't know what it's called) when I bend down or get dressed pulls, and I get like an electric shock jolt feeling it takes me by surprise every time hurts bad. Both of my legs get pins and, needles going through a lot and they throb and have a really deep ache to the point it keeps me up in the night my knees hurt it's like a, really deep ache too and when I bend them often I hear or feel a grating feeling. I'm sorry it's hard to describe. It's, really making life difficult for me and I'm starting to worry. I feel a lot older than my age and I'm really starting to look it. Iv suffered with fatigue all my life iv got endo and a busy 3 year old. Does what I'm experiencing sound like arthritis? Hope some one can help me. Iv got the gp on Friday this time I'm not getting robbed off I need answers.

Sorry for long post.

Thanks for reading.

Hi Cat

Sounds like you've got a lot of pain and discomfort going on there.

A good idea would be to write everything down and take it when you go and see your doctor. When you see him/her, take your time and explain how worried you are and how it is all impacting on your life. As you say, don't be fobbed off.

Maybe suggest seeing a rheumatologist then they will most likely send you for xrays and/or MRI.

Good luck on Friday and let us know how you get on.

Hi

Judi

Thanks so much for your response. That's exactly what I was going to do write it all down that's my plan for today. I'll suggest xrays the gp suggested last year if it didn't get better but I just try to carry on in life. Now it's come back and hurts real bad. Can you tell me if it sounds like anything familiar to you?

Thanks again

Hi Cat

I wouldn't like to guess what you have, but I definately think you should really push for more tests and don't stop until you get to the bottom of it. You sometimes have to be very persistent to get anything done.........shouldn't be like that but in my experience, it is

The saying "those who shout the loudest" is very true.

Good luck

Judi

It reads like you might benefit from a referral to a neurologist or rheumatologist. I hope you have a useful chat with your GP.

Hi, It clearly shows you are suffering from something, Could it be Fibromyalgia, Or indeed Arthritis, I do so feel for you because typically when we have our children, we are expected to run and fetch, and do everything else, But you are suffering, and I would want a definition from my GP, then if that does not cut it, a Rheumatologist. So get yourself off to see them, and try to keep your chin up. I know I sound like one of the disbelievers, but honestly, you need some clarification, Off you go to your GP, Let me know how you get on?
