big toe problem

in 2010 had bunion removed the last year ive had pain under my foot like a stone sticking in my foot have seen podiatrist who has said its because my big toe has been made to small at surgery have tried the injection which did work for about 4 weeks and other options are to have a toe made smaller or big toe made bigger as anyone else had this problem because ive arthritis in all lower limbs inclueding feet im a bit worrid about having any more surgery
