New to the group but I was wondering if anyone on here has the same condition as me, PALINDROMIC arthritis. Its a very rare arthritis that took gp's months to diagnose what i had. Iv never known anyone or spoke to anyone with this condition. Just feel like im so alone as its so unheard of.
Thanx

Hi. This is my first time on here and trying to get use to technology so apologies if this doesn't go well, I never knew palindromic existed till reading this, ive had psoriatic arthritis for 14 years and the symptoms sound very similar, was wondering if this is just a new name for it.
Hi Hunibean, Please don't feel adrift and alone, I've had this condition for over 40 years, although it took them 35 years to decide that it was the correct diagnosis. What it really means is that you have pain and flare ups in many parts of the body. It is impossible to say, from one day to the next where it is likely to aggravate next.
The only advice I can offer is to lower your stress levels as much as possible, ie: if there is a problem and you can do something about it, do it, if you can't alter the situation then do your best to stop worrying to death something you can't alter. Rest when ever you can, and accept help when offered. Its taken me years to learn all this, but the soon you can the better. Please don't get down hearted, a happier frame of mind actually reduces pain. Take care. xx
Hi, I am new here and also have recently been diagnosed with Palindromic Rheumatism. Starting on DMARDS tomorrow. I had 2 years of being labelled a hypochondriac by my Drs which was not a pleasant experience. I feel quite alone with it too as only 31 and do not know anyone else with this condition. Feel free to PM me if you want a chat x
