Hi, I just want to know if the pain in the lower back or the waist is a condition of arthritis or gout, and what causes that pain?

There are any number of reasons for lower back pain the most common being muscle strain. A doctor is the best person to diagnose what wrong.

May be nether as more likely to be a sprain or pulled muscle. I'd advise a trip to the Osteopath, thy'll sort it out and better than taking pain killers for weeks.
To find out if its gout take some pantothenic acid but only source it from food do not get it in supplement form as the supplements don't work as well, as natural pantothenic acid removes uric acid out of the body and clears up gout whfoods.com/genpage.php?tna...
you might also want to start drinking a litre of distilled water every day and do not use tap water as there are around 70 thousand contaminants in it. the water will rehydrate your cells.
As someone said, the pain could be caused by a number of reasons. I had lower back pain for some time, on seeing my Doctor she recommended that I see a Rheumatologist, which I did, and he diagnosed Ankylosing Spondylitis. I also had Psoriasis and was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis. I gave up on the medicines as I was informed that it was difficult to treat PA and AS. So now I try to do lots of walking, bit painful after a while though!!! Hope you are feeling better.
It sounds like to me that it may be oa if it's in your waist. I have it in my lower back and hip as,well it can get very uncomfortable. I'd have it looked at . Your GP may put in a referral for you to see a rheumatologist if they suspect that it's arthritis you're getting in your hips and lower back. Good luck J. Quinn
