Battered OA OAP

Hello, I have massively improved my OA in recent years and want to do a You Tube video about it in case it helps others; some experts say RA & OA are similar so I asked the RAs to help but they have verbally attacked me, why? I am not offering anything just asking for help with making a video then people can see for themselves.

Dunno what 'experts' you asked but RA and osteo are two completely separate illnesses. And yes I'm afraid some people with RA do get a bit 'snippy' when you dare to suggest they are the same 😏. Lol. I have RA and it's a common misconception with people, but I'm fairly laid back with it. As soon as you mention the 'A' word people always tell you they have a bit of it or start offering you copper bracelets as it helped their old gran no end😂. So I avoid mentioning it, but If I have to I immediately tell them what I have (RA) is an auto immune disease and nothing like grans. So good luck with the video 😃.

Some health writers say, I think that OA too is an autoimmune disease, it is certainly inflammatory with burning pain unendingly.

Lol. I can see why some with RA get annoyed. Osteo arthritis is NOT an auto immune disease. Ok. I don't want to start an on line row. And please don't get offended. So please tell us who these health writers are who say OA is an auto immune disease. Cheers.😃

Hi Chris. I cannot see why you think rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis are similar. One is an autoimmune disease and the other is a natural process that can come early to some ( worst luck). I have had osteoarthritis since my mid 40s and it has blighted my life at times and now just about completely changed it.

If you have ideas that could help sufferers why not post on HU ?

Hi, deejames, thanks for yr polite reply: OA is not a "natural process", it is a sort of poisoned or unhappy system in flames (inflammation) and I cannot give "ideas that could help sufferers" as I have LOTS of them, so I thought a website would be bes... also my ideas would have to be done in the right order.
