Hip bursitis

Hello can anyone give me any help regarding hip bursitis ? Have been in very bad pain since the end of May have been waiting for my MRI results Got them on Monday I'm waiting now to have fluid drained and steroid injections under ultrasound Just wondered if anyone has been through the same Thanks

hi, I had hip bursitis with calcification. I had steroid injections x 3, one done in theatre under scanner. unfortunately they didn't work for me. my surgeon did open surgery, because I had large amount of calcification. this was 12 months ago, I have had no pain since. it was a long journey, it took 3 years before I got my operation.

so there is light at the end of the tunnel for you. injections work really well for some people. wishing you all the best and hope you will be pain free soon x

Thanks very much for your reply I'm glad you are now pain free I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can get some relief soon x
