Can anyone tell me if I'd be entitled to PIP for inflammatory arthritis x

Entitled to.
You could be, it's worth trying for it. Several friends of mine with RA have it. When you fill the forms out, don't play it down. Think of the worst days you have, not the best, and put that information in. Good Luck.
Hi
You are not awarded PIP based on the condition or disease that you have it is awarded on how that condition impacts your ability to carry out your daily tasks. If you have difficulty in anything you do you may very well be able to receive it.
If you google PIP you will find on there a list of questions they ask to base their decision on.Take a look and see if these apply to your situation, and when you do think of how things are for you on a bad day not a good day.
There are two components to this firstly there is the living allowance which has questions re such things as washing, bathing, dressing, cooking etc and a second part for mobility asking questions on your ability to plan and make a journey, how far you can walk aided or unaided etc
I have seen lots of advice on here given by others so I am sure if you had any further questions the good folk on this HU site would be more than happy to provide you with some hints and tips re the application itself.
Good luck and if you decide to apply I hope you are successful.

I have OA and have been transferred from DLA to PIP only last week I was sent a letter to tell me I had pasted the home vist which took place right on 28/12/16 so you see I did not have to wait long. When filling in the form please remember to tell them every detail of a bad day and not a good day. I am 49 yrs old had left and right knee replaced and both hips, I am now waiting for surgery on the base of my left thumb because that as OA.
