UK question only -

Has anyone received a letter from the nhs saying that they are more vulnerable because of the COVID virus??

I have no other health problems and having read the nhs website - serve mental illness is listed. I’m just wondering if my PPP back in 2013 is why I have received a letter??

Hi betty2014,I’ve not had a letter, no. Did it come from your GP surgery or a central NHS letter? If it was from your GP surgery you could perhaps contact them and query why it’s been sent, if you wanted to... I think letters were only being sent centrally to those people with conditions that put them in the clinically extremely vulnerable category (those advised to shield - nhs.uk/conditions/coronavir...

Sorry that’s not overly helpful! And Happy New Year :)

Best wishes,

Hi Jenny, thank you for your reply. It came from central nhs - it’s just odd as I can’t think of anything else it could be but to me I am fully recovered.

That does seem odd. Is it advising you to shield or anything like that? I don’t know sorry, it will be interesting to see if anyone else has had the same. You may still be able to query it with your GP surgery as I think letters sent centrally are generated based on the coding in medical records... I’d be confused if I got a letter too!Jenny x
