Now 15 weeks , my daughter is feeling less overwhelmed by continual vomiting and although she’s nauseous most of the time her sickness is only at nights or when very tired so this is good news . It’s been a huge struggle and very scary , but she has forced herself to have sips of water as often as possible and had first meal for months over the weekend which is wonderful . We discussed a support group even starting one here but she tells me during the really critical time with extreme weakness , pains all over and continual vomiting ( now passed) anyone would be unable to take part but it would be good to give support to others esp those whose family friends and medical advisers don’t understand and are dismissive .Apparently Charlotte Bronte died of “ morning sickness” but this was most likely Hyoeremesis ; dehydration etc . With little knowledge of the condition at that time .

Thank you for your input and helpful suggestions Denizt

Hello Denizt

Good to hear your update that your daughter is feeling less overwhelmed by what must be an awful condition. I think this debilitating illness was highlighted during two pregnancies in the Royal family recently and ended happily following births, unlike PP where the trauma is just emerging. However, PP is a very treatable illness so recovery is possible.

I hope your daughter continues to slowly improve and I'm glad the suggestions here were helpful. Remember to take care of yourself too.
