Please join me in sharing our stories with compassionate researchers at Western Sydney University (in person or by Skype) so that they can understand Postpartum psychosis from the personal accounts of women themselves.

This time last year I was in a psychiatric unit suffering from severe postpartum psychosis! "I was in the wrong place for my illness" Thankfully I then got moved to a mother and baby unit in Birmingham so I could be close to my baby! All the staff were amazing at the barberry .. I can't ever thank them enough for there support and guidance. I am now fully recovered with the help of medication, huge family support and love! Just wanted to make everyone aware that if your going through this I promise your not alone and you will recover I know it feels like torture and it's such a dark lonely road to go down but it won't last forever it does get better I promise! One year down the line I'm off the meds ,back at work, picking my kids up from school and doing normal everyday family things. It was so scary and the worst experience of my life by far but I got through it! Just like many others I can say I survived this, but unfortunately some husbands/partners, family's can't say the same. lives are lost through this shocking illness and there definitely should be more research and awareness for it so people can spot the warning signs/symptoms early on and get immediate medical help from a psychiatrist... Sending love hugs and positivity to anyone out there who's just had a baby and struggling with this, I have felt your pain. Also my heart goes out to all the family's who just want there wife, mummy ,daughter, sister, granddaughter , niece to be well and come home again .thinking of you all in the deep depths of your despair and sending my prayers 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 xxxxx

Hi Suzannah0,

Did you contact Diana Jefferies directly? And did you get an email reply?

There have been some email inquiries lost in cyberspace, so let me know if you didn't get a reply, and I can followup,

Currently 10 Aussie women have shared their stories, and we are aiming for 20 for clinical significance :)
