Anger and jealousy towards a family member
New to this, just wanting to know if its common to make things up about a family member. To be jealous of their baby girl and to be aggressive towards them and make facts up that are not true .

Hello Julia-Katie
Welcome to the forum. The mums here have had postpartum psychosis and I'm not sure if we can help. Has the family member who is jealous of their baby girl had postpartum psychosis?
Perhaps you could give a little more detail?
Many thanks.
I had postnatal psychosis in 2014 - I do get jealous of (but more annoyed at) people who don't get pp and moan about the little things that I had to deal with on top of everything else. I don't think people understand and assume it's the same as baby blues even though I was sectioned and separated from my child for three weeks and took months to recover!
HI Julia-Katie,
I read this as you being the family member of someone that you know or perhaps expect as having PP. Is that right?
I didn't experience this particular aspect of PP. However from my understanding it is quite common to become jealous, suspicious and indeed imagine (make up things) that fit into the unreality that is going on in your head during psychosis.
Hopefully things can be sorted. It can be a very stressful time for everyone involved. Although it may take a while for things to settle down before you will be able to deal with this if you feel the need.
Good Luck
