Hi all, I'm on sertraline and ipiprazole and having the worst night sweats! I feel cold to touch but (sorry to sound gross ) soaking in sweat! Is this a side effect does anyone know? Thanks x

I did get sweats when I started sertraline, but also I also got night sweats for the first few months after giving birth (with both my kids), so it can also be a symptom of your oestrogen dropping after your pregnancy perhaps. I would wake up drenched and so did many of my other mum friends.

I got sweats at night when I started sertraline too. I too woke up drenched - it was horrible. I don't have them anymore though. Must have lasted at least a couple of months or so though. Xox

I didn't take those meds but I had night sweats for about 6 months after giving birth. Talking to other women it seems it's pretty normal after having a baby. It may have been worsened by the antipsychotics I was on (I have no idea if respiridone can do that) but it started before I took them so I know it was at least part hormonal.

Sweating can be a side effect of Sertraline and that type of drug. Funnily enough though, I get the sweats in the morning when I need to take them! ....oh and my friend has had major sweats for years following her third baby - they tested her for early menopause, but got the clear. Hormones! X

I'm on sertraline as well and I sweat a lot too. I'm living in Brazil at the moment, so it's pretty hot anyway but even in the air conditioning I am literally dripping!! It's so embarrassing! I don't have the during the night just during the day
