watched an interview with Ian Thorpe one of, if not the, greatest olympic swimmers.

At the height of his career he suddenly quit.

Why? we now know. Depression & Anxiety.

I don't have a link, but it should be available on the bbc news web site.

It is worth checking out.

regards,

sandra.

Hi. This rotten complaint is no respecter of persons. From Genghis Khan to Winston Churchill, they all had anxiety and depression. But look at what they achieved. (Well, I dont know about Genghis Khan!!). I always call us creative achievers. Doesn't fit you? Think about it. We achieve a lot in this illness. More understanding, empathy, and the ability to relate more to our fellow beings. The creativity I have spoken of before, and it is a fact that some of the great artists and literary people of our age suffered. It is not all negativity as it seems at times. There is no doubt that this illness can sometimes bring out the best in many. Love to all. jonathan.
