Hello
If it were me and I am looking at it as it was Diazipam , I would take it slowly
I would maybe drop it by 2mg per week if I was on 8mg of Diazipam or if that felt to much every 2 weeks
I know you seem in shock on how much and how strong this med is and want to get of it asp , but if you have been on this a while then the slower you do it the less side effects you will get and you will not notice so much you are reducing
As long as you slowly do this and don't increase the dose you are a winner
If you are really unsure talk with your Doctor
I have been addicted to meds before not intentionally and I have managed to stop them but I did it slowly and found it more successful than attempts of rushing it which made me feel dreadful
There is not always a right or wrong way to wean of meds but the best way is however best you cope
