Kidney Anxiety

Hi everyone, I had severe pain in my lower rhs of back and the kidney area along with vomiting. Went to visit doctor and told me I may have a kidney stone as I have a trace amount of blood in my urine, been sent for a X-ray and blood test that I had done yesterday. But I’m now terrified that I have kidney cancer as I found a link between kidney cancer and headaches! I have pains in my head constantly and doctor says it’s due to my hay fever. I also have a horrible dry mouth never cured by any drink! My one saving grace is that I’m 44 and at the bottom end of the age range for getting kidney cancer. But I’m scared more now than ever. Oh and I find myself breathless a lot more than usual

Hi Gary666, I was diagnosed with kidney and bladder

cancer 5 months ago, I had no symptoms whatsoever. It was only picked up on a surveillance CT scan I had in respect of the bowel cancer I had 3 years ago. I had no symptoms for the bowel cancer either, in fact a annual poo test one month prior came back clear. I’m now fully recovered and fit and active fora 75 year old.

Don’t stay worrying, insist your doctor sends you for a CT or MRI scan. Failing that a friend of mine had a Ct scan done privately, it wasn’t so expensive. At least this would put your mind at rest.
