Hi all need some advice been on sertraline since September never really felt like it’s helped me so finally tapering off I’ve been on 12.5 for about a month. I seriously think I feel more anxiety and am more symptomatic on it?! So missing every other day for a week and then every two days for a week, what can I expect to feel like? I’ve been prescribed an snri next but really nervous to try! Help!

Sertraline withdrawal
Hi L1974 I'm on 50 mg of setraline and I know exactly what you're talking about. the thing about anti-depressants is that it can take months to finally start and you have to find you're right dosage. when I started it I also felt like it was exacerbating my anxiety, but eventually it helped drastically. Another thing could be that setraline is specifically not for you. some people prefer lexapro, some people prefer prozac, but with any of these the feelings of anxiety when starting them is perfectly normal, you just have to push through it. try meditating, don't forget to breathe, and I hope I was at least a bit of little help to you.
Thanks for your response I have tried 50mg and 25mg nd now low so I can just get off it. I am scared to try something else though the side effects frighten me. Just not able to handle anxiety it’s exhausting! X
I was on that for years and couldnt sleep at night and couldnt remember things. About 2 months ago I decided I had enough of the docs drugs and stepped down off of them until I quit for good. I did the same with risperadone, bp drugs and statin drugs. Im now thinking clearly and beginning to feel a lot better. Im not recommending this, just saying. I think the medical community is killing us with their drugs. #hadenough
