Have no idea the age, dose prescribed or why they were RX or why you didn't take them, or why you want to take them now.
So none are safe. Call your doctor. Please.
Buspar?
I am taking buspar and yet I still have lots of anxiety at night. Remember, a medication affects people in different ways. Best of luck!
If you have concerns then either talk to your GP or to the pharmacist that dispensed the medication.
SSRIs as a class of medication are generally well tolerated and have fewer side effects than other classes of antidepressant but we all respond differently to medications. There really is no way of knowing what will be the best medication for you or if it will cause a side effect unless you try it. Most people don't experience side effects so the probability is that you won't either.
I think it's a case of "horses for courses", Elizabeth especially if, like me, someone is prescribed other meds. Eg I'm a brain injury patient & unstable epileptic & whilst there are many drugs which would benefit me, they would compromise my anticonvulsants.
Please seek your docs advise & good luck. 🇮🇪
