Feeling really spaced out and head is foggy/fuzzy today. Also feel as though my throat is closing up! Not having a good day but have drank some fizzy juice which can trigger anxiety for me! How's everyone else doing today? X

Hi Edmx I don't drink any caffeine fizzy drinks and only have one alcoholic drink very rarely.as caffeine makes my heart rate go really fast over 100.I do drink de- caff tea and coffee and drink orange juice or lemonade.really helps when you get anxiety.

Hope you’re feeling better than you did. I wonder what it is about the fizzy drinks that gets you?

I've been reading a lot that fizzy drinks/carbonated drinks (maybe it said caffeinated lol ) cause anxiety. I wonder why? I feel foggy too. My eyes feel heavy like ive been crying. I did cry all last week and on wednesday (my bf dad passed last monday) and my anxiety has been through the roof. I feel dizzy and like im not all here but I am its weird.

Caffeine speeds up your heart like anxiety. It’s not good. Feeling like your heart is racing can double anxiety of course too! Not sure about carbonation.

Thissucks562, the high amounts of sugar in a fizzy/carbonated drink can cause anxiety as well as the fizz sometimes can cause a fullness in the upper stomach and making the heart start skipping beats, causing anxiety.

So it's more than just caffeinated drinks that can cause our anxious body to respond.

I did not know that. I drink diet Dr. Pepper caffeine free. I know it’s not good for me but I love the fizz. I need to quit but I can’t right now. One thing at a time. Thanks for the info.
