Hi poodiepie, The forum is a good place to come when having a panic attack. There is always someone here who can comfort and understand what you are going through. Another place is YouTube. There are many calming and deep breathing videos that may help you. Using imagery, meditation and deep breathing on your own will also calm the mind and body.
How are you feeling right now?? Has it passed?
In all honesty, I go to YouTube! I just watch videos that make me laugh/happy.
Ya, sometimes YouTube can get me to smile but I have to be careful, there's a lot of junk there.
Sweetie Internet will make crazy
Do some deep breathing or hold your breath as long as poss this will help the panic attack to pass. Listen to some relaxing music or guided meditation on YouTube if your struggling sometimes it's calming to hear someone else's voice x
I go to You Tube there are loads of wonderful relaxation videos that really really help
All the best x
Hi you could try the nopanic website they have a helpline to call also a recorded message to talk you through a panic attack which you can listen too anytime plus there's good tips on how to relax the body and breathing exercises
personally I wouldn't go to the internet if I was having a panic attack - be more likely to use breathing/meditation techniques. One that particularly helps me is actually focusing on the detail of what I am feeling - it distracts me enough from the thoughts that are causing the feelings for me to be able to calm down.
there is a book called 'Mindfulness Meditation: a practical guide to finding peace in a frantic world' that comes with a CD of guided meditations that I found really helpful and which helped me to discover the technique above.
