Citalopram.Yes.S.S.R.I. anti -depressants can have a common side effect of anxiety and increase in some depressive symptoms. All of your symptoms are an indication of this extremely unpleasant side effect of these drugs. Some people go through hell. However, relaxation techniques and/or tranquilizers can help quite considerably.Usually, these side effects begin once the drug has built up sufficiently in your system, the first 2 months. The usual progression is that the nasty side-effects end and all the positive results of the drug then give their, sometimes, wonderful benefits. So,practice deep relaxation, tranquilizers and acceptance and soon the symptoms can vanish and you will feel hugely better.
