Hi there I'm on 50mg of Sertraline , I felt allot better after 4 days have had positive days but am going through a little bit again of anxiety , it does help that's for sure , some of the work I think we have to do on our own , I know easier said than done , what dose are you on , maybe you could increase the dose ? My doctor said I can but I haven't yet want to see if I can get through on 50 mg ,I wake early every morning now and then have to get up or I just get anxious , it comes and goes , good weeks then sometimes a few bad days bit I think their also linked to hormones those days . I really hope things improve for you soon :-) keep strong :-)

Hi,

I have been on Sertraline for years, it agrees with me. I am on 150 mg, and occasionally I cut it down 10 100 mg. I sleep all night, I still have my bouts of anxiety but only when something major arises.

I've been on 50mg sertraline for about 18 months. In my experience it can be hard to tell if its having a great impact on anxiety levels in the sense that I still feel depressed and anxious due to life circumstances, etc. It took me around 3-4 months to feel any benefit, so persevere if possible.

However, combined with propranolol (beta blockers) I feel my anxiety in terms of panic attacks is somewhat better controlled than it was with no medication.

I am also looking in mindfulness self-help books in an attempt to further progress. I think the brain may benefit from both types of therapy (although I'm not a doctor, I've just been reading a lot!). Hope you feel some benefit soon. ;-)
